Folks in Southern Ontario have some great new options for sun vacations, and a new way to reach a cool part of Canada. Toronto Pearson Airport put out a note on social media the other day to point out several new routes to great destinations. The union representing WestJet pilots says they have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a strike mandate. A representative of the Air Line Pilots Association told the CBC that 95% of pilots took part in the strike mandate voting, and that 93% were in favour of giving the union the ability to call a strike. Yahoo finance said pilots could strike or be locked out if notice is given on May 13. A job action that close to the long May weekend would obviously be extremely disruptive for Canadian travellers. Air Canada today officially launched an expanded partnership with Uber Canada, which will give Aeroplan members new ways to earn points at home and on the road. With the new partnership, Aeroplan members will be able to link their Uber and Aeroplan accounts together so that earning points and other rewards are seamless, officials said.
