Here’s a lazy Sunday Labour Day compendium of a few stories I found on the old Internet this morning about new world hotels, travel products for people with small children, Caribbean visits and more, plus a note about Toronto Pearson delays. Canadian airlines are offering excellent deals for travel within Canada this fall. Flights to Europe are priced reasonably, but Caribbean flights appear to be expensive. A look today at aircanada.com reveals one way tickets from Toronto to Vancouver in mid-November (hardly the peak of travel season in Canada) for just $143 one-way. WestJet’s website shows flights from Calgary to Toronto in mid-November from $118. The deals aren’t quite as good for Europe, but they’re not bad. Air Transat is pleased to be back in Dublin, after over two years of forced suspension due to COVID-19. The airline operated its first flight between Toronto and Dublin (TS230) yesterday evening, which will be offered five times a week at the height of the season. Until the end of October, the airline will operate these flights with its new-generation Airbus A321neoLR aircraft. Canada Jetlines, the new, “all-Canadian leisure carrier,” announced today that it will begin operations out of Toronto Pearson International Airport. They have a targeted start date in the summer of 2022.  Canada Jetlines will operate out of the airport with a fleet of airbus family aircraft, starting with the A320.
