Year after year, Europe tops the charts of travellers from around the world. It seems we just can’t get enough of classic European cities such as London and Paris, not to mention Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome, Zurich, Berlin and many others.
With that in mind, the folks at TD Canada and Aeroplan and I are holding a Twitter chat about Europe on Wednesday, April 29 at 1 p.m. EST. I’ll be chiming in with what I hope are useful tips and advice about using your TD Aeroplan points to take the trip of a lifetime. Brussels is one of the prettiest cities in Europe and doesn’t get enough attention in my book.
London’s appeal never seems to wane. It’s a great spot to visit with your TD/Aeroplan points.
Sardinia is justifiably famous for its beaches. You’ll also find great wine and lovely driving trips, especially if you rent a moped!
Dubrovnik makes a stunning place to visit in Croatia. Definitely high on the Instagram charts.
Zurich is a lovely and surprisingly cosmopolitan city with tons of charm.
Valencia doesn’t get the attention that Barcelona enjoys, but it’s a fine destination in Spain with a great mix of old and new.
The Cliffs of Moher are a popular and stunning destination in Ireland.
Malta has several glorious churches and cathedrals that are worth checking out.
You can’t go wrong with a trip to Paris. It’s glorious at Christmas and just about any other time of year.
I fell in love with Lisbon on a recent visit to Portugal. It’s not only beautiful but quite inexpensive.
A boat ride on the canals of Amsterdam; it doesn’t get much better than this.
