Time To Travel: Cayman Islands Lifting Quarantine Rules November 20

The Cayman Islands has announced that it is moving to Phase 4 of its reopening plan, which means vaccinated travellers who are securely verified can enter without quarantine from 20 November.  After almost two years with limited international travel, many travellers are now looking to winter sun destinations for their next therapeutic escape – and there’s no better choice than this premier destination nestled in the Caribbean. 
“The health and security of our residents and visitors have always been the government’s number one priority, and our COVID experience throughout the pandemic has been exemplary to date. With a high percentage of the population now vaccinated, we are keen to relax the current restrictions and move to Phase 4 of our reopening program on November 20. This will bring an important return to normality for travel and tourism on the islands in time for the holidays.” said Kenneth Bryan, Minister for Tourism and Transport.The Cayman Islands has followed a controlled reopening strategy to ensure the ongoing safety, security, and peace of mind of visitors and the local population.  “We are excited to share the many beautiful experiences of Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac – the stunning beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters, wonders of nature and expansive culinary choices. BEFORE YOU LEAVE
 
  1. Apply to Travel Cayman at least 14 days prior to departure for approval to travel and to confirm your fully vaccinated status. Travel Cayman authorisation is in addition to normal immigration requirements.
     
  2. Travellers will be emailed prior to departure to confirm whether they are approved to travel.
     
  3. All inbound travellers aged 5 years or older must take a pre-arrival PCR test 72 hours prior to departure. The negative result must be presented upon airport check-in.

Note: Unvaccinated visitors and those under the age of 12 are not allowed entry into the Cayman Islands.
