California and Hawaii are far and away the most popular states for U.S. domestic travelers, a new study says.   The folks at Bravodeal found that California is the state of choice for 46% of Americans, with Hawaii right behind at 42%. In a move that could boost Canadian tourism, Canada has been promoted from level four to level three in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s country ratings system for COVID-19. The Atlanta-based group, which makes travel recommendations for U.S. residents, made the change earlier this week. Level four suggests “very high” COVID levels and recommends against travel to the destination, to level three, which suggests “high” COVID levels but doesn’t recommend against travel. California remains the top choice for Canadians travelling to the U.S., Visit California officials say. “We’re the number one travel destination in the U.S.,” Andrew Levine of Development Counsellors International, a media relations firm that represents the state, said at a Visit California event in Toronto on Monday, April 4.
