Ecum Secum is in Nova Scotia

Toronto is actually a tiny bit SOUTH of Florence.

The Carcross Desert has cool sand dunes and can be found in Yukon, south of Whitehorse.

Cape Spear, Newfoundland is the easternmost point of Canada.

Manitou Lake is a rare, mid-country salt water lake. Very cool spot north of Regina.

The Muir, a Marriott Autograph Collection property, is on the waterfront in Halifax. Muir means “sea” in Gaelic, by the way.

Bombay Peggy’s was formerly a brothel.Hochelaga was the name of an Iroquois village near what we call Mont Royal.

The Beaverbrook Gallery, which is terrific by the way, is in Fredericton.

There’s a giant Canada goose by the side of the Trans-Canada Highway in Wawa, Ontario.

Saguenay Fjord is a popular spot for cruise ships. It’s east of Quebec City and runs north off the St. Lawrence River.

Cabot Revelstoke in B.C. is slated to open in 2024.

Waterton Lakes National Park and Glacier National Park (Alberta and Montana)

Burton Cummings used to be (and maybe still is) part owner of Salisbury House, home of the “nip,” which is a burger, really. They have tons of music memorabilia on hand.

The stunning Remai Modern has the world’s largest collection of Picasso linocuts.

Echo Beach

Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Their sparkling wines have won awards all over the world.

The Northwest Territories

Lucy Maud Montgomery was born in Prince Edward Island, but lived in Leaskdale, Ontario from 1911 to 1926.

Terry Fox was forced to end his run across Canada just east of Thunder Bay. There’s a marvellous memorial to this heroic Canadian on a hill overlooking Lake Superior.

There’s a giant USS Enterprise space ship in Vulcan, Alberta.
