Toronto Pearson, Canadian Skies Still Busy This Week

The Canada Day weekend is behind us, but it’s still busy at Canadian airports.

Flight Aware stats show that 54% of flights out of Toronto Pearson were delayed on Tuesday, while six per cent were cancelled. For Montreal-Trudeau, 42% were delayed and four per cent cancelled. Both of those were among the highest delay percentages in the world.

Air Canada Jazz had 53% of its flights delayed on Tuesday, while 12% were cancelled. For Air Canada mainline, 64% were delayed and two per cent cancelled. For Air Canada Rouge, 52% were delayed and two per cent cancelled.

For Swoop Airlines, 38% were delayed and a full 18% cancelled. For WestJet Encore, 33% were delayed and one per cent cancelled. For Porter Airline, 25% were delayed and one per cent cancelled.

My wife flew out of Pearson today and only took carry-on bags. She said it took her roughly 30 minutes to get through security.

    Jim-
I was one of the victims of the Air Canada disruption at YYZ. I’m trying to get payment for my hotel stay caused by their delays. Despite submitting my claim twice through the website I have no response. Can you give me a phone number or email address to contact them?
    TIA

Afraid I don’t have a phone number for them. The only emails I have are for the media relations team. Sorry!
