Qantas today released its Australian “Red Tail Sale” offering discounted airfares for round-trip nonstop flights between Vancouver and Sydney. Flights are available from $1,499 CAD.* The sale will run July 18-24, 2023 across all cabins for varying travel periods in 2023 and 2024. Selected travel dates and days apply.
Onboard Savings & COVID Credits
Qantas international fares include checked baggage, food and beverages, and in-flight entertainment as standard with every booking. Customers can also use their Qantas COVID credits to book fares.

The airline has also started to roll out a multi-million-dollar investment in new menus, larger meals and premium produce across all cabins in its regional, domestic and international network, including on flights from Canada.
Carrying More Canadians to Australia
Qantas has continued to see strong demand from Canadian travellers since the airline upped its seasonal service between Vancouver and Sydney to three flights per week year-round. The airline’s flights from Vancouver are operated by its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The Qantas Dreamliner carries 236 passengers across three cabins. It features the latest version of the airline’s Business Suite, nicknamed “mini First Class” by some frequent flyers, as well as a next generation Premium Economy seat and a significantly improved Economy seat with extra storage compartments and more legroom.
