Turkish Airlines Lounge at the RBC Canadian Open Golf Tourney; Great Food, Fabulous 18th Hole Views

Turkish Airlines continues to make inroads into the Canadian market.

Following a successful inaugural year, Turkish Airlines this year returns as an Official Airline Sponsor of the 2026 RBC Canadian Open, taking place from now through Sunday, June 14 at the North Course at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.

Reinforcing the airlines’ dedication to high-performance sport at Canada’s most anticipated – and only – PGA tournament, the 2026 partnership introduces a newly expanded premium Turkish Airlines Lounge, featuring a larger, climate-controlled space and an enhanced covered viewing area overlooking the 18th green, designed to deliver an elevated and memorable guest experience.

I was able to check it out on Thursday, the opening day of action at the Open. I’ve covered dozens of golf tournaments over the years as a sportswriter, but this was my first time at a posh lounge.

The site is massive, with several rows of seats overlooking the 18th green, a huge patio with colourful red umbrellas, an indoor lounge that’s part of the TPC Toronto clubhouse, and a second, indoor space.

I was there early enough to sample scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt and a croissant as I watched Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, Canadian Corey Conners, and other top golfers come into view on the 18th green.  I later went back for lunch, sampling chicken kebobs, a nice Caesar salad, harissa roasted cauliflower and more. One of the lounges was set up with Turkish and North American coffee, as well as baklava, Turkish delight and cookies.

They also had professional shoulder massage service, which I somehow missed.

Beyond the Lounge, Turkish Airlines is bringing the excitement to “The Fare Way” fan area at the RBC Canadian Open with the following:

  • Public On-Course Activation: Located at the bustling The Fare Way where fans can stop by for refreshments and contest opportunities.
  • At the Driving Range: Turkish Airlines will provide traditional Turkish coffee service for players on the driving range.
  • Contesting: Fans will have the chance to win two (2) Round-Trip tickets to any of Turkish Airlines’ 350+ destinations.

Turkish Airlines routes

Turkish Airlines recently announced a significant schedule expansion for its Canadian operations, adding extra flights to Istanbul from Toronto Pearson International Airport,  Vancouver International Airport and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport in July 2026. The new expansion means Turkish Airlines has seven weekly flights from YYZ and four weekly flights from both YVR and YUL.

I was lucky enough to fly Turkish Airlines business class from Toronto to Istanbul in November of 2024, and then again back from Istanbul to Toronto. The service was nothing short of sensational, and the business lounge at the airport in Istanbul unlike any I’ve seen in the world.
