Canada’s largest airline now says it won’t be flying to Cuba until November of this year. In a note posted on its website, Air Canada say it is “postponing its resumption of service between Canada and Cuba until November 1, 2026.” The airline said customers with travel booked between May 1 and October 31, 2026, will be contacted directly with their travel options, including the option to change destinations. It’s a tough time to be a sun seeker from the US or Canada. In January, flights were disrupted to the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao) due to the US action in Venezuela. A few weeks later, flights to Cuba were halted because of an ongoing lack of aviation fuel, leaving Canadians and other visitors scrambling for alternative sun destinations.
