As a well-established travel guy in this great country of ours, I get asked a lot about what some of my favourite travel spots and how I juggle all my flights and what I look for. I can’t really explain how I manage the travel, as my inbox is a veritable jigsaw puzzle of messages and flight confirmations and all sorts of messy details. I wrote the other day in my Globe and Mail Navigator column about robots moving into the world of travel at a rapid pace, taking over the jobs of bartenders on cruise ships and even acting as a concierge at a hotel, where at least a lonely business person on the road doesn’t have to be embarrassed by asking another human being where to find a companion for the night. NEW YORK – What a great treat. Somehow, having visited New York City perhaps eight or ten times over the years, I’d never strolled across the Brooklyn Bridge. Until last Sunday.
