Allianz Partners has published its top summer destinations for Americans for 2022. Allianz officials said “revenge” travel appears to going to an entirely new level as people seek experiences they missed out during the pandemic. It’s also notable that big cities such as Los Angeles, New York and Boston are back on travelers’ radar. Additionally, Allianz research showed that 75 per cent of Americans will travel domestically this summer, up 16 per cent from last year. Good news from the island of Ireland. As of yesterday, March 6, all COVID-19 travel restrictions have been removed for travelling to the Republic of Ireland. Visitors will no longer need to complete a passenger locator form to travel, nor will they need proof of vaccination or recovery, or a COVID-19 test. Tourism Ireland welcomes news about the lifting of additional pre-testing requirement for travel to the island of Ireland. For visitors arriving into the Republic of Ireland from today (January 6) onward, vaccinated people with a valid Digital Covid Certificate or another valid proof of recent infection or vaccination will not need a test.
