JADE MOUNTAIN, SAINT LUCIA – This is a place that has to be seen – and felt – to be believed. The open-air rooms, glossy wood furnishings, private hot tub and private infinity pool are just the start of things, which probably is why the resort was rated the top Caribbean resort this week in the US Condé Nast Traveler 25th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards. It’s not too late to book that last-minute Valentine’s Day trip. If you’ve got the cash, here’s a list of ten of the most romantic hotels I’ve stayed at outside of North America. Bon chance! Great food and service in a sleek and sexy hotel. 137 Pillars House, Read more

With that in mind, here’s one well-travelled guy’s list of some of the most romantic hotels in Canada. Wickaninnish Inn, Tofino, B.C. A true sense of place, plus a wonderful restaurant steps from a long beach just made for strolling hand in hand. Try a couples massage just a few feet from the pounding surf. Prince of Wales Hotel, Niagara-on-the-Lake Stroll the quiet streets Read more
