Porter Airlines is adding Edmonton to its network, with flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Edmonton International Airport (YEG). Edmonton is the newest destination for Porter’s new Embraer E195-E2 jet service, which currently includes Vancouver, Ottawa and Montreal. The Toronto-Vancouver air route is getting more crowded. Canada Jetlines, Canada’s new leisure airline, today confirmed the inaugural flight for its new, nonstop service out of its travel hub at Toronto Pearson to Vancouver International Airport. Porter Airlines has revealed its first destinations for its new Embraer long-range jets. The Toronto-based airline says it will begin operations at Toronto Pearson on Feb. 1, 2023, with flights to Ottawa and Montreal Trudeau airports. Passenger traffic at Canada’s busiest airport grew almost four-fold in the first nine months of this year. The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (“GTAA”) today reported its financial and operating results for the three and nine months that ended September 30, 2022. Passenger activity increased by 6.5 million or 135.1 per cent to 11.2 million during the third quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
