A couple weeks ago I published my list of top 10 places to go in 2024. It seems the people at AFAR magazine and I think a lot alike. I put Toronto, Paris and Detroit in my top 10, and both cities are in the AFAR top 24. It’s the time of year when travel publications like to list their top destinations for the following year. A recent study has named Thailand the tropical destination Americans most want to visit. Costa Rica, Cuba and Australia also make the list. Time Out has just issued its annual list of the world’s 40 coolest neighborhoods. Of course, it’s entirely a judgment call; what I call cool might be considerably different from what you like.
