The other day I noted a list of the nine most beautiful countries in the world that somehow omitted the United States, which might have more amazing scenery than perhaps any country on the planet. Vancouver International Airport has once again been named Best Airport in North America as part of the Skytrax World Airport Awards. It also has cracked the list of the top airports in the world. YVR finished 10th in the world in the latest rankings from Skytrax. That’s up three spots from #13 last year, and up a solid seven places from 2024. Vancouver International has earned the title Best Airport in North America 15 out of the last 17 years and is the only airport ever to receive the award 15 times. I’m sorry, but this is absurd. MSN recently ran a story on the world’s most attractive countries. It’s a good list, but with one glaring exception; there’s no mention of the United States. Yes, I know Canadians (and residents of many other countries) aren’t feeling terribly well disposed towards the U.S. these days. As a Canadian citizen, albeit with U.S. roots, I fully understand.
