  WESTJET NEW WINTER SCHEDULE   WestJet today announced its winter schedule, unveiling significant opportunities for Canadians to plan their winter escapes and extending key domestic and international routes from summer to year-round service. New routes include Calgary-Tampa Bay, Toronto-Bonaire and Edmonton-Montego Bay. The Tampa Bay flights will allow greater access to St. Petersburg, Clearwater Beach and Dunedin, spring training home of the Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto Pearson says it’s made a dramatic turnaround in on-time performance, baggage handling and other issues. Dominica is garnering tons of headlines these days. Conde Nast Travel recently named it one of the 16 best islands in the world. This week marks the 50th anniversary of independence for The Bahamas. The St. Vincent and The Grenadines Tourism Authority says Air Canada will resume non-stop flights from Toronto Pearson Airport this fall. Starting Oct. 30, 2023, flights will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
