The world’s best city for foodies is Tokyo, Japan, with the most Michelin-star restaurants and budget-friendly dining options starting at $44 USD. Research conducted by AHTI Games looked at more than 50 cities worldwide to discover the globe’s top destinations for food lovers. New and enhanced flights to exotic destinations such as Singapore and Stockholm, plus 120 destinations in North America. Air Canada has released its plan for the busy summer travel season, and it features a 30% growth in capacity to the Asia-Pacific region, including flights to Osaka, Seoul and Singapore. Google Flights has revealed the top searches on its platform by people in the U.S. who are looking to travel between June 1 and Aug. 31, 2024. It’s a list that’s heavy on European favourites, plus some ever-popular U.S. destinations and one great Asian spot. School spring breaks are a hop and a skip away and travel leader Booking.com has compiled data on where Canadian families and students are planning to go.  A few common destinations that appear to be popular across the country this spring break season are Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Playa Del Carmen in Mexico, Punta Cana in Dominican Republic, and our own Toronto, Canada.  Tropical beaches are to be expected. It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and that means it’s time for romance. The folks at Ubuy.com looked at TripAdvisor data to score each European capital city for romance. The criteria included the number of fine dining restaurants, 5-star hotels, and romantic tours. A romantic tour only gets one point, which I don’t understand. I also would put more emphasis on a five-star hotel than an expensive restaurant, if only because you’re likely to have more time to enjoy a hotel than a restaurant.
