Porter Airlines is adding Edmonton to its network, with flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Edmonton International Airport (YEG). Edmonton is the newest destination for Porter’s new Embraer E195-E2 jet service, which currently includes Vancouver, Ottawa and Montreal. Porter is giving Canadian economy travellers the ability to fly with an airline that provides an enjoyable economy air travel experience for every passenger. The Toronto-Vancouver air route is getting more crowded. Canada Jetlines, Canada’s new leisure airline, today confirmed the inaugural flight for its new, nonstop service out of its travel hub at Toronto Pearson to Vancouver International Airport. Porter Airlines on Thursday revealed that it will begin flying between Toronto and Vancouver on Feb. 7, 2023. Porter said it plans to have three flights a day by March 21 of next year. Air Canada today announced a new service between Montreal and Fort McMurray that will launch next June as part of the carrier’s Canadian summer schedule. The airline also announced increased frequencies on Toronto-Kelowna, Winnipeg-Toronto and Montreal-Vancouver, and restored daily service between Toronto and Gander, Newfoundland. Canada’s largest two airlines have their eyes on Asia. A celebration was held at Vancouver International Airport Thursday night to mark Air Canada’s inaugural flight between YVR and Bangkok.
