CNN has a chart out today that lists the world’s busiest airports for 2022, and the U.S. is extremely dominant. The top four on the list are American airports, and U.S. facilities make up five of the top ten (indeed, five of the top six). China usually has an entry or two in these sort of lists, but the country has been slow to open up since the pandemic and failed to land an airport in the top 10 this time. The bad news continues for Sunwing, and for Canadian travellers. Sunwing airlines has reduced its flight schedules from three airports in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, Canadian Press reports. Tiffany Chase with the Halifax International Airport Authority said on Sunday that Sunwing cancelled its plans to launch once-weekly flights in February from Halifax to Orlando, Fla., and to Cayo Largo del Sur, Cuba. Mont-Tremblant, one of Canada’s most popular ski resorts, is the most expensive destination in the country for an overnight stay on New Year’s Eve this year, according to a survey by Cheaphotels.org. The survey compared the cost of accommodation this coming December 31 across 20 Canadian destinations. For each destination, the price for the cheapest available double room was recorded. Only centrally-located hotels rated at least three stars and with generally positive guest reviews were taken into account.
