A new global study conducted by JourneyWoman shows that women over 50 feel ignored and undervalued by the travel industry. Journeywoman surveyed more than 1,000 seasoned women travelers, almost all of them aged 55 or older, and found that 70% of them feel that the travel industry doesn’t understand the needs of mature solo women over 50. A new survey conducted by JourneyWoman shows that the pandemic hasn’t diminished women’s desire for solo travel. Conducted between December 13 and 17, the JourneyWoman TravelReady Outlook 2022 survey reflects both optimism and caution, with 51% of women planning to travel internationally from January and June 2022 — dependent on pandemic guidance and travel advisories.
