Vancouver International Airport has once again been named Best Airport in North America as part of the Skytrax World Airport Awards. It also has cracked the list of the top airports in the world. YVR finished 10th in the world in the latest rankings from Skytrax. That’s up three spots from #13 last year, and up a solid seven places from 2024. Vancouver International has earned the title Best Airport in North America 15 out of the last 17 years and is the only airport ever to receive the award 15 times. Canadians are looking for trips to Asia for March Break, but Florida also is high on the list. According to data from KAYAK, the world’s leading travel search engine, Asia continues to be the top trending spot for Canadians over spring break, with a 14 per cent increase in flight searches since last year. And with overall airfare costing less (down 12% in cost) in 2024 compared to 2023, now may be the time to take that trip. Air Canada is adding direct flights to Tulum, Mexico, as well as Charleston, South Carolina. It’s also adding flights from Montreal to both Austin and St. Louis and increasing frequencies on key Canadian domestic routes and early resumption of popular seasonal routes, including Toronto-Victoria.
