Multiple reports tonight say Canada may be ready to institute tough, new travel rules that once again restrict discretionary travel outside the country. CTV, the CBC and the Globe and Mail all state that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was speaking with provincial premiers Tuesday evening. Canada’s Health Minister today warned Canadians that travelling outside the country is “risky and unstable.” He also said a formal “do not travel” warning could come later. The vast majority of Canadians support measures aimed at controlling the Omicron variant of COVID-19, and we’re mostly staying home this holiday season, a new poll reports. A new study from Leger polling and marketing, in conjunction with Canadian Press, also finds that Canadians and Americans think rather differently about COVID-19, at least in some respects. There’s a good deal of confusion surrounding new U.S. travel rules. Air Canada says it has a solution. Air Canada has announced a series of improvements for customers to meet new U.S. government entry requirements. In partnership with Switch Health, a Canadian-based health care company, Air Canada confirms ample supply of antigen test kits available for purchase.
