I’m sorry, but this is absurd. MSN recently ran a story on the world’s most attractive countries. It’s a good list, but with one glaring exception; there’s no mention of the United States. Yes, I know Canadians (and residents of many other countries) aren’t feeling terribly well disposed towards the U.S. these days. As a Canadian citizen, albeit with U.S. roots, I fully understand. But you can’t possibly deny that the U.S. has some of the most spectacular scenery and beautiful vistas – and cities – in the world. Okay, so here’s an odd/interesting list of the world’s great cities. TimeOut magazine asked 24,000 people in 150 cities around the world about their fave cities, and then balanced that with views from their team of city experts to come out with a new ranking. It’s that time of year in Canada, folks. March Break is a time-honoured travel tradition in this country; a time when kids get a respite from school and families often take off for warmer, sunnier climes. The airline also says families flying through Toronto Pearson are in for a heartwarming surprise. Air Canada is hosting a Paws and Relax experience with St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs who will be wandering the terminal with wagging tails both today and tomorrow Read more

MSN has a nice list out of trending travel destinations for this year, including some of my fave places. Here’s a look at what they had to say in their report, as well as some thoughts from yours truly, who’s managed to visit all five (and lives in one of them). JAPAN MSN’s report said Japan “continues to draw travellers who value structure, safety and cultural depth. In 2026, the country’s focus on regional tourism — beyond the usual big-city circuit — makes it even more compelling.” Their story highlighted several great options for exploring the country, including scenic regional Read more

I love a good travel list, so today I’m going OVERBOARD with three fun ones: the top cities in Europe, the best places to visit in Canada, and the best beaches in Australia. I also look at Las Vegas tourism, Air Canada’s plan to increase flights to India, and plans for Hilo, Hawaii. THE BEST 100 CITIES IN EUROPE The experts at Resonance Consultancy, who take an exhaustive look at the world’stop cities every year, have come out with a list of the best cities in Europe for 2026. The company looked at 34 factors, including livability, prosperity and nightlife, Read more
