Almost one in ten Americans admit to sleeping with strangers on vacation. And roughly one in five hate going on holidays with their in-laws. A study by Play USA looked at American travel habits for trips to Las Vegas and other destinations, and found U.S. residents can get a little rowdy when they’re away from home. A new global study conducted by JourneyWoman shows that women over 50 feel ignored and undervalued by the travel industry. Journeywoman surveyed more than 1,000 seasoned women travelers, almost all of them aged 55 or older, and found that 70% of them feel that the travel industry doesn’t understand the needs of mature solo women over 50. The Toronto-Vancouver air route is getting more crowded. Canada Jetlines, Canada’s new leisure airline, today confirmed the inaugural flight for its new, nonstop service out of its travel hub at Toronto Pearson to Vancouver International Airport. Porter Airlines on Thursday revealed that it will begin flying between Toronto and Vancouver on Feb. 7, 2023. Porter said it plans to have three flights a day by March 21 of next year. Porter Airlines has revealed its first destinations for its new Embraer long-range jets. The Toronto-based airline says it will begin operations at Toronto Pearson on Feb. 1, 2023, with flights to Ottawa and Montreal Trudeau airports. Six days later, Feb. 7, will see their first flight to the west coast, a Toronto-Vancouver trip.
